Economical fried bee hoon
Economical fried bee hoon which you can find in hawker centre and coffee shop in Singapore. been
hoon with sauteed cabbage with egg or fishcake for $1.50. its very cheap that's why its call "economical" fried bee hoon .Sometimes i prefer doing at home cause its slightly healthier than the coffee shop version. you can pair with fried egg, veggies or fish cake its your choice . Everyone at home will love it cause its so simple and Delicious
INGREDIENTS :4oog beehoon or vermicelli
2 cloves minced
2 shallots ,thinly sliced
1 carrots julienned
2 TBS minced dried prawns
SAUCE MIXTURE:
2 TBS dark soy sauce
1 TBS light soy sauce
2 TSP fish sauce
1 TSP sesame oil
1 TSP sweet soy sauce
1/2 TSP white pepper
METHOD:
1.Soak beehoon until it becomes semi-soft.
2. Mix the sauces for seasonings together in a bowl.
3.Heat wok with 1 tablespoon of oil and fry the beaten egg into an omelette.
Slice thinly and set aside
4.Heat wok with one tablespoon oil, fry garlic and shallot and minced prawn until fragrant.Then add the shredded carrots cook for few mins.
5. Add the sauce mixture and softened beehoon. Stir
6. Adjust seasonings accordingly to taste.
7.Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with the egg slices and green chilli. Serve hot.
