Dubu Jorim (두부조림) is a  Korean side dish .whenever Im craving for Korean food i always make  dubu jorm  its easy and delicious with just plain white rice.i made few changes by adding onions and mirin . if you dont have mirin you can use Chinese rice wine  if you don't have either its ok  . it will still taste Delicious .

Ingredients
1 pack of firm  tofu {I used unicurd tau kwa}
2 cloves of garlic minced
1/4 cup of spring onion
1/2 cup of onion minced
3 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp brown  sugar
1 teaspoon of mirin
1 tbsp pepper flakes
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup of water
toasted sesame seed
sesame oil

Method:
1.Gently rinse tofu under running water. Dry it with kitchen towel. Slice tofu into rectangles (3cm x 4cm x 1cm)and  put the tofu on a paper  towel and  set aside .

2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, red chili pepper flakes, minced garlic, mirin, brown sugar, black pepper toasted  sesame seeds and 1/4 cup of water .

3. Add the cooking oil to a non-stick pan and heat it up over high heat.

4.Gently set the tofu onto the pan and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Rotate the pan to cook the tofu evenly. When the bottoms get a little crunchy, flip them over one by one with a spatula. Let cook another 7 to 8 minutes until both sides of each tofu piece are a little crispy and golden brown.

5.Transfer the tofu to a plate.Heat up a small pan over medium high heat and add the leftover oil.
Add the onions and chopped spring onion stir fry  for 2 mins then add the tofu and Pour the  seasoning sauce evenly over tofu.

6. Let it cook on low heat with a lid for 5-10 min or until tofu is cooked and a little bit of liquid is left at the bottom of the pan.
You can also sprinkle some sesame seeds as a garnish. Enjoy!.
